Three time Maple Blues award nominated Toronto based blues-rock guitarist, singer, and song writer, Chris Antonik, has been wowing live audiences with his incendiary blues-rock guitar playing, and delivering innovative and thoughtfully crafted songs that transcend limitations or expectations of genre.

Chris has toured Canada, the US, and UK extensively, and has played many major blues and rock festivals along the way. His guitar style has drawn comparisons to BB King, Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, and Joe Bonamassa, with one music reviewer even dubbing him "the Canadian Gary Clark Jr.”

Antonik has assembled an impressive, forward-looking body of recorded work that pays deep respect to blues tradition, while forging ahead in exploring new sonic and artistic territory. 

In summer 2022, the first two singles from the Artist's new 'Morningstar' release both found support from Joe Bonamassa by being added to the acclaimed guitarist’s “Cutting Edge Blues” Spotify playlist. Additionally Blues Rock Review gave the album a 9/10 review score heralding “countless exceptional guitar solos” and Morningstar’s "boundary-pushing blues.” Rock and Blues Muse said Morningstar “pushes the boundaries of blues/rock by folding soul, future-funk, psychedelia and other experimental touches into its mix quite successfully… he’s a fully developed artist working on something big.
